Risk assessments and method statements written for the actual task, read by the people doing it, and revised when the job changes.
Competent people
Operatives who hold the card for their trade, supervisors who are trained to supervise, and specialists for specialist work.
The right to stop
Anyone on a Linx site can stop work that looks unsafe, and will be thanked for it.
Honesty about incidents
Near misses are reported and learned from, not buried.
Induction first.
Nobody works on a Linx site without a site-specific induction covering the hazards, the rules, welfare, emergency arrangements and who to speak to. Cards are checked, right to work is confirmed, and the task briefing is given by the person responsible for the work, not handed over on a clipboard.

- Tidy sites: clear routes, materials stored properly, waste segregated and removed
- Correct PPE for the task, worn without argument
- Planned lifting, excavations and work at height, with permits where they are needed
- Plant operated only by people trained and authorised for it
- Welfare that is clean, warm and fit for people to use
- Fire, first aid and emergency arrangements set up before work starts
- Neighbours, the public and other trades protected from our work
Competence, kept current.
Training records are held for everyone we employ or supply, checked before they start and renewed before they lapse. Toolbox talks happen regularly and cover what is actually about to happen on site that week, not a generic slide.
