How we handle the personal information you give us through this website.
Who we are
Linx Construction Group is the trading name of LINX CONSTRUCTION GROUP LIMITED, company number 10982266, registered office 189 Brompton Road, London, England, SW3 1NE. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. Contact: sales@linxconstructiongroup.com.
What we collect
Only what you choose to give us through the three forms on this site or by email:
- Project enquiries: name, company, email address, project type, location, timescale, budget range and your message.
- Labour requests: company, contact name, email address, site postcode, trades and numbers, dates and notes.
- Careers applications: name, email address, trade, experience, CSCS card status and type, right-to-work status, availability, location, your message and any CV you send.
Each submission is given a reference (for example LX-260101-AB3D) so that we can find it again. Our web server also keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and error diagnosis.
Why we use it and our legal basis
- To respond to your enquiry, request or application and, if it goes further, to negotiate or perform a contract with you (contract, or steps taken at your request before a contract).
- To keep records of enquiries and applications for a reasonable period (legitimate interests in running the business and defending legal claims).
- To verify right to work and card status where the law requires it before someone works on a site (legal obligation).
We do not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to, and we do not sell them.
How long we keep it
Project enquiries and labour requests: for up to 24 months after our last contact, or longer where a contract results. Careers applications: for up to 6 months after the application, unless you join the team, in which case the information becomes part of your employment or engagement record.
Who we share it with
Form submissions are emailed to our team through our web hosting provider’s mail system. We may share your details with professional advisers, and with clients or contractors where that is necessary to place you on a site or to deliver a project you have asked us about. We do not share them with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. The map on the contact page is provided by Google and loads only when you press “Load map”; if you do, Google may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it in a portable form. Write to sales@linxconstructiongroup.com. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
